18 students, driver injured in school bus crash in Salyersville, Ky.

All 18 students were taken to local hospitals. The driver and two students were air lifted from the scene after the bus drove down an embankment and landed on its side.

Several students have been seriously injured in a school bus crash near Salyersville, Ky. 

The school bus, carrying 18 students from the Magoffin County School District, drove into an embankment and landed on its side, reports WKYT-TV. 

All the students as well as the driver were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Four students were hospitalized in critical condition, reports Lex 18.com reports. At least three people, the driver and two students, were taken to the hospital by helicopter. 

WLKY reports the bus crossed both lanes of traffic and crashed into the embankment.
