Proposal would set minimum aid levels and allocate more money for poor districts
From The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: The state schools chief in Wisconsin has launched a campaign to reform the way the states allocates funds for public education. The proposals from State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Evers would guarantee a minimum level of state aid for every student, provide more money for poor districts and reallocate about $900 million worth of property tax credits to general school aid. The framework has earned praise from state groups representing teachers and school boards, as well as some legislators.
