More than 100 students walked out ofHenry Ford High School in Detroit on Wednesday in protest of a new security plan. After a nearby shooting last week that left one student dead, the Detroit district has issued a new security plan for Henry Ford that doubled security and incorporated other measures. EARLIER: The Detroit school district police force is pledging to work with the city police to curb violence that has plagued Henry Ford High in recent weeks. The change is part of the district's new security plan for Henry Ford in the wake of a shooting near the school that left one student dead and three injured, as well as other reported gang activity. Among the actions: The school will have 10 security guards, twice the previous amount.
