A $288 million Spokane (Wash.) Public Schools construction bond appears to be headed for approval. The question, which needs needs a 60 percent supermajority to pass, was ahead on election night 29,187 to 17,685.

EARLIER: The Spokane (Wash.) district is seeking voter approval March 10 for a $288 million bond proposal. The money would enable Spokane to replace four elementary schools, modernize one high school, make districtwide techonology and security upgrades, and other facility improvements.
