Rain ruins gym floor at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville

$222,000 floor was installed last fall

From The St. Louis Post-Dispatch: At least 9 inches of rain in the Edwardsville, Ill., area has caused extensive damage to the Vadalabene Center gymnasium floor at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. The most serious damage at SIUE occurred when rainwater spilled around and under the tarps covering a roof being repaired at the Vadalabene Center. A $222,000 gym floor that was installed last fall buckled in places from the water.
