From USA Today: When pupils from Sandy Hook Elementary School return to classes, they will be housed in a former school building in the nearby town of Monroe. Crews are working on the former Chalk Hill Middle School in Monroe with a goal of making it ready for pupils by Wednesday. The two-story building sits along a winding, wooded road next to a new middle school and an elementary school. Police say it could be months before police turn the Sandy Hook school back over to the district, and even at that point, those who survived the shooting last week would be unlikely to return to the Sandy Hook campus.
