Teacher is suing the Walled Lake school district over the incident

From The Detroit News: The Walled Lake (Mich.) school district is being sued by a teacher who claims she was seriously injured last year when students trampled her during a Field Day event. Eleni Anastos was a referee in October at a four-square game between juniors and seniors at Walled Lake Western High School. The suit contends that she was knocked down "helpless and prostrate" on the gymnasium floor by a "stampede" of students celebrating a victory by the seniors. Anastos also is suing a former student, alleging that he "savagely attacked" and "stomped on her and kicked her violently" as he raced out of the stands onto the gym floor.
