Former El Paso district administrator gets 4-year prison sentence

From The El Paso Times: A former El Paso (Texas) Independent School District associate superintendent has been sentenced to serve four years in prison for cheating the district out of more than $2 million. Tomas Gabaldon, 56, has ordered to pay the district $2 million in restitution. Gabaldon admitted accepting bribes to award a multimillion-dollar Medicare reimbursement contract with the district between 2003 and 2007. Gabaldon started working as associate superintendent for special education in 2003. He resigned in 2005, two years before the district ended its contract with Strategic Governmental Solutions.
