Virginia DeMaine pleads guilty to defrauding school over 7 years
From ArkansasNews.com: A former Arkansas State University employee has admitted to bilking the school out of nearly $740,000. Virginia DeMaine pleaded guilty in federal court to mail fraud and money laundering. She diverted $737,889 designated for the university's Childhood Development Associate program to her personal bank account. An audit revealed DeMaine, who was program coordinator from 1994 until last year, diverted funds over a seven-year period.
