Flint (Mich.) district approves layoff of 261 teachers

FromThe Flint Journal: The Flint (Mich.) Community School Board has voted to lay off 261 teachers at the end of the year. The district is forced to make drastic cuts because expected revenues are $15 million to $20 million under projected expenditures for the 2010-11 school year.
