Austin (Texas) district looks to sell headquarters

Minimum bid on complex is $32 million

From The Austin American-Statesman: Facing deep cuts in state funding, the Austin (Texas) school district is seeking bids for its downtown headquarters and another administration facility. The minimum bid will be $32 million for the Carruth Administration Center and $7.5 million for the Baker Center. The Carruth property, originally designed to be a mixed-use project with office, residential and retail components, has 128,000 square feet of space in five buildings of three or four stories each, plus 13 apartments.
