A former coach convicted of lewd acts with seven girls while he worked at after-school programs at elementary schools in Los Angeles has been sentenced to serve 105 years to life in prison.
The Los Angeles Daily News reports that Ronnie Lee Roman, 44, received the prison sentence after being found guilty June 7 of lewd acts with a child.
Six of the crimes, which dated back to 2002, occurred on school grounds, and one happened at a girl’s home, according to prosecutors. The victims ranged in age from 8 to 11.
Roman worked as a coach for after-school programs at Cahuenga and Vine Elementary Schools in the Los Angeles Unified District.
The jury was the second to hear a case against Roman. In February, a jury acquitted him of three counts of lewd act on a child involving three other girls, and deadlocked on the remaining counts.
