The Learning Studios for Eastfield College, Mesquite, Texas, take a progressive approach to learning through open spaces and unique classroom configurations.

The 55,000-square-foot classroom and administrative office facility features interactive learning environments and studio-like classrooms. A variety of comfortable social spaces outside the rooms will allow for interaction among students and teachers.

The building also will create a new gateway into the campus, which will include an Internet cafe and conferencing facilities.

The project, estimated to cost $11 million, is scheduled for completion this fall.

The architect is HKS, Inc. (Dallas).
