Wisconsin lawmakers pursuing limits to school voucher program

Wisconsin lawmakers passed a bill that will make it more difficult for private and religious schools to join the state’s school vouchers programs.  The bill, which has bipartisan support, could become law within the next week, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The law would require that private schools operate for one full year and be subjected to a more rigorous financial review before becoming eligible for the voucher program.
