Washington state senate OKs $544 million school construction bill

The Washington state senate has approved a measure authorizing $544 million in bonds for school construction, The Columbian reports. Included in the package is $10 million for safety upgrades, such as installing panic alarms to alert local law enforcement of emergencies.
