Vanderbilt University revamps its recreation center

Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tn. Has recently expanded and renovated its recreation center. The renovated center will not only sport new exercise options and new parking facilities, but a new name as well: the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center (VRWC).

“The VRWC will provide a progressive environment in which members of the Vanderbilt community can take part in health, wellness, recreational, and competitive opportunities,” according to the Vanderbilt website. “The new center is consistent with the trend on many college campuses of combined recreation facilities that serve students, faculty and staff, and has been funded by a combination of philanthropy and university investment,” it said.
