A preservation group in Chicago wants to protect historic school buildings facing closure, even if that means the schools are reused as condominium apartments. DNAInfo.com Chicago says that Preservation Chicago would like shuttered school facilities to be saved for use as condos and rental apartments. The district is considering closing more than 50 schools, but has not made any final decisions.
