Permit denied for solar energy project in Massachusetts district

Planned solar array would provide all energy needs for Dennis-Yarmouth (Mass.) Regional School District

Zoning officials have blocked a plan to use solar power meet all of the energy needs of the Dennis-Yarmouth (Mass.) Regional School District. The Cape Cod Times says the Yarmouth Zoning Board of Appeals has denied a special permit for the project. The district wants to install roof- and ground-mounted solar arrays on school properties in the towns of Dennis and Yarmouth. The project has all its approvals in Dennis.
