Omaha district will get new fiber optic network

The Omaha (Neb.) school board has approved plans to install a new fiber-optic network for all schools and administrative buildings. The Omaha World-Herald reports that the $4.5 million upgrade will significantly increase bandwidth and speed in 97 district buildings.
