Old building will become new home for journalism school at Southern Miss

College Hall, built in 1912 on the University of Southern Mississippi campus in Hattiesburg, will become the new home of the university's School of Mass Communication and Journalism. The Hattiesburg American says a $6.3 million renovation of College Hall, the first academic building on the Southern Miss campus, has been underway since 2011. The school expects to move into classrooms, offices and studios in August.
