School will add 3 academic and student life buildings on the exterior of the stadium

The University of Notre Dame is moving ahead with a $400 million project to construct three academic and student life buildings on the exterior of its football stadium. The South Bend Tribune says it will be the most expensive construction project in the university's history. Three new buildings totaling 750,000 square feet will be constructed as additions on the exterior of the 84-year-old Notre Dame Stadium. The top floors of both the east and west buildings will have premium seating for fans and outdoor terraces overlooking the football field.
