May 1, 2013
Meals served to students at PS 244 in Queens are vegetarian only.

Video from ABC News: Students have gone veggie at P.S. 244 in the Queens borough of New York City--at least during lunch. The school says it no longer serves meat as part of the meals served to the 400 students in pre-K through 3rd grade. The People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals says the school may be the first in the country to offer only vegetarian meals.
