Illinois teacher fired for allegedly having sexual relationship with student

From The Chicago Sun-Times: The Rich Township (Ill.) High School District 227 Board has voted 5-0 to fire a teacher at Rich East HighSchool in Park Forest for allegedly having a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old student last summer. Earl Rogers, 39, was a special-education teacher at the school since August 2010. Police say no criminal activity took place because the student, now a senior, was 18, and no charges were filed against Rogers.
