Howard County (Md.) district to buy site for future elementary

School on the site would not be built until 2019

The Howard County (Md.) school board has approved acquiring an $8.2 million parcel of land for a new elementary school. The Baltimore Sun says the 8.2 acres in the Oxford Square development would be used for a new elementary school that would open in 2019. The school would be adjacent to a middle school now under construction that is set to open August 2014.
