Michael Divincenzo has been fired from his job at Maine West High in Des Plaines, Ill.

A former soccer coach at Maine West High School in Des Plaines, Ill., has been charged with multiple misdemeanor counts involving the battery and hazing of players on his team. The Chicago Sun-Times says that Michael Divincenzo, the former varsity coach, has turned himself in to Des Plaines Police. Divincenzo, who has been fired, has denied to police any knowledge of hazing claims. A lawsuit filed last year accuses Divincenzo of sanctioning a hazing culture at the school that allegedly led to the sexual assault of at least three soccer players and one baseball player, according to a lawsuit filed last year.
