Friends mourn California teen who died after being hit by school bus

18-year-old man was fatally struck by school bus while riding his bike in Palmdale, Calif.

Video from KTLA-TV: A school bus in Palmdale, Calif., fatally struck an 18-year-old man riding a bicycle. Michael Valenzuela, 18, was hit at about 3:45 p.m. while on his way to soccer practice. Authorities say he was trying to cross at an intersection and was hit by a school bus traveling about 45 miles an hour. The bus was carrying 47 students home from Los Amigos School in Palmdale. No one on board the bus was injured.
