Fire delays demolition of building at Michigan State University

A fire delayed demolition of the oldest building on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, but the school now has resumed tearing down the 113-year-old structure. The Lansing State Journal reports that crews returned to work after campus engineers determined that Morrill Hall was structurally safe. The fire began on the building’s roof and was quickly extinguished. No was inside the building at the time, and no one was injured.
