A huge fire has heavily damaged a building at Colonial Beach Elementary School in Colonial Beach, Va. Fredericksburg.com says more than 80 firefighters from several jurisdictions battled the blaze. At one time, the building was housed Colonial Beach High School. It was last used as a middle school, but had been condemned. At the time of the fire, it was being used as a storage facility. The elementary classrooms are in trailers and another building on each side of the now burned-out building. The trailers and the additional building were not damaged, but classes for the 280 elementary students have been cancelled Monday as school officials determine next moves.
