Judge says Missouri state board violated law when it denied a new charter to Gordon Parks Elementary

A judge has ruled that the Missouri Board of Education violated state law when it denied the Gordon Parks Elementary School in Kansas City a new charter. The Kansas City Star reports the ruling means the charter school will remain open. But because of the uncertainty that surrounded the school, many students have enrolled elsewhere, and many staff members have left.
