Board must decide by August when to schedule a November election.

An Austin Community College committee has identified $499 million in facility improvements that could be included in a possible November bond election. The Austin Business Journal says the potential projects include the second phase of construction at the new Highland Mall campus; a new campus in Leander; expansion of campuses in Round Rock, Elgin and Hays; improvements to the Rio Grande and Riverside campuses; and purchase of land for further expansion. To get a proposal on the Nov. 5, the college trustees must act by Aug. 26
