Ball State decides not to reauthorize 7 charter schools in Indiana

Affected schools were not measuring up academically.

Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., has decided not to renew authorization of seven charter schools in Indiana. The Muncie Star-Press says the schools affected are in Gary, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and Richmond. Ball State is pulling support for the schools because of failure to achieve compliance with academic standards. The seven non-renewed school charters will expire on June 30. Ball State charters 42 schools in all
